shape: In visual media shapes can be made in a number of ways. They may be defined as the outlines of objects, or they may be composed from parts of different adjacent objects; they can exist as gaps, or negative shapes between the objects.
Direction: line direction can add to meaning
Texture: If someone were asked to define texture, they might reply, ". . .the feel of an object's surface."
Hue: color
Saturation: amount of gray in color
Value: light & dark
Scale: Manipulating scale changes how we see things. Ex. Perspective
Dimension:
two-dimensional representation (drawing, painting, photograph, etc.)
