MOTION GRAPHICS

Motion Graphics has evolved with design on the computer. Yet, designers such as Saul Bass, pioneered the field before computer were to radically change the extent of motion within graphic design. He created movie titles with graphics (images, text, live action). Today motion graphics are commonplace in commercials, music videos, news, etc. as well as in film titles.


An early motion graphics designer: Saul Bass (1920-1996). He designed the opening title sequences for: The Man With The Golden Arm (1955), Vertigo (1958), Anatomy of a Murder (1959), North by Northwest (1959), and Psycho (1960), etc.
