The Portable Forest Tree Library
at Monte Vista Projects, LA
16 different kinds of evergreen trees from around the world, wood, tar, casters, stain, metal handles, dirt, mulch.
2011
The Portable Forest are potted plants that can travel for shows, events and
happenings inside and outside. Typically they are shown interacting with the space they are in or traveling
metaphorically if not physically.
In response to an invitation from Monte Vista, The Portable Forest created The Portable Forest Tree Library, a free holiday tree checkout service of seventy-one one to seven foot tall evergreen trees from around the world. The Portable Forest invited Bianca D’Amico of terri planty, Nicole Antebi, and Amy Blount Lay to collaborate on an exhibition, entitled Ever Green, hosted by Monte Vista. |
