Tree and Space is a space defined by a tree to serve as a location for public art practices. It is unregulated and open to all to utilize for art, performances, and happenings. A brass marker is placed on location to aid in identification. Los Angeles, CA .

Chronology of Tree and Space:

FIRST TREE
I planted the first tree and it died a few months later dispite hauling 3 gallon jugs of water up the hill every other day.

SECOND TREE
The second tree I chose was indigineous and in a shadier location on the hill. It too died six months after planting.
The tree and planting shown below.

THIRD TREE
I did some more research and found that the Eucalyptus trees I was planting near were probably the problem. So, deciding that the project was about place and not planting, I chose to use a nearby eucalyptus sapling that was thriving next to my dying tree. I did not plant this tree, it was simply there.
The tree, planting, and events shown below.
